Arrived at 11:00 AM / Seated at 11:05 AM / Food to Table at 11:45 AM
ANOTHER BROKEN EGG | We were excited to try Another Broken Egg for brunch since we usually don’t get to try breakfast foods on our lunch outings! We all agreed on this day that brunch sounded exceedingly appetizing and Another Broken Egg was the first place that came to mind. Several of us had been there already, but Eggs Benedict, Country Potatoes, Belgian Waffles, and Andouille Sausage were calling our names.
Though the wait was a little long, we still agreed that we would all gladly visit the place again in the future for our brunch needs. For more information about this restaurant, scroll to the bottom of this post!
Experience: “Since Another Broken Egg is widely known for breakfast/brunch, the place was packed when we arrived. We were seated quickly, though, for a table for six. The restaurant wasn’t too loud for us to have table-wide conversation. Mr. Clearwater’s brother came with us and we enjoyed chatting and hearing stories from the hospital where he works while we waited, but the wait time for our food was a little long (40 minutes) for an office brunch/lunch. Our waiter was attentive.” – The Boss
EGGS BENEDICT (CLASSIC) WITH COUNTRY POTATOES
Grilled breakfast ham on an English muffin, topped with poached eggs, hollandaise and green onions.
“The classic poached egg was almost a hard-cooked egg instead of having a runny center. The rest of the dish was cooked well and the presentation was good. The amount of food was plenty for breakfast or brunch.” – The Boss
Experience: “Another Broken Egg, another great experience! The welcoming and pleasing environment provided at this restaurant made the experience even better. The wait, while long, was worth it. Our waiter came promptly when we were seated and came frequently to see how we were doing and to refill our drinks. He was fast and considerate.” – The Hipster
CHOCOLATE STUFFED BELGIAN
Belgian waffle stuffed with white and dark chocolate, topped with strawberries, whipped cream and chocolate sauce. (ordered with fried eggs, and sweet & savory sausage)
“This dish was very tasty. The waffles held their own, but when added to the chocolate syrup, strawberries, and whipped cream, they were so delicious. The dish looks pleasing and tastes just as wonderful as it looks. The eggs were fried and warm when they arrived with the sausage. The sausage was some of the best I have ever had. The savory and sweet blended together so well.” – The Hipster
Experience: “The overall look of the restaurant was impressive and home-like. The servers were excellent and made a reasonable number of visits to the table to check in. The food took a little longer than expected to arrive, but the quality of the food was worth the wait.” – The Engineer
TURKEY MOZZARELLA PANINI
Turkey, fresh mozzarella, house-made bacon jam, tomato and arugula with garlic aioli on focaccia.
“The dish I had was a wonderful flavor of veggies as well as a strong meat base. The turkey was bountiful in the panini and the cheese was evenly spread. The sandwich was good until the last bite. The side of potatoes was salted perfectly and had excellent texture. I would recommend this to people who want a great experience at a reasonable price. The food would work for all meals of the day, breakfast, lunch, or dinner.” -The Engineer
Experience: “This was a great trip to brunch! The staff at Another Broken Egg seated us quickly and got us our drinks while we looked over menus. Our waiter, Caesar, was polite and helpful. The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. The only thing that I would’ve changed about the experience was the wait for the food. It was a little too long.” – The Detective
TRADITIONAL DAY STARTER
Two eggs (any style) with your choice of baked bacon, house-made sausage patties, andouille sausage, turkey sausage, or sweet ham. Served with grits and an English muffin.
“Breakfast food is one of my favorite food selections. The Traditional Day Starter is the classic breakfast plate. Eggs, Bacon (or your choice of sausage or ham), an English muffin, served with a side of either grits or potatoes. I got both sides because it was just that kind of morning.
Everything (except the bacon, which was a little overcooked for my taste) was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. I ate as much as I could, and then ate a little more.” – The Detective
Experience: “Since we arrived at about 10:45 AM on a weekday, we were able to find parking space which was very close to the door. Hostess was very nice and seated us almost immediately. Server got us our drinks within 2 minutes of being seated and our food got to us before too long.” – Mr. Clearwater
EGGS BLACKSTONE BENEDICT
Grilled red tomato slices on an English muffin, topped with poached eggs, hollandaise, chopped bacon, and green onions. Served with country potatoes and fresh fruit.
“This plate was marvelous. It was a perfect balance of bacon bits, chopped green onions and hollandaise on top of a poached egg / English muffin. The hollandaise sauce was very tasty but wasn’t overpowering and allowed each ingredient to be tasted in every bite. I’d definitely recommend this one. The only thing that I’d request next time is that my poached egg would be a little bit runnier.” – Mr. Clearwater
