Instead of venturing out on to eat on Friday, like we normally do, we decided on Wednesday this week in honor of Dave and Buster’s half price games day. We arrived around 11:15 AM to avoid the lunch rush (which never really came). We were seated quickly and served promptly. The arcade was pretty empty, even with it being half price games day. We decided on the Eat + Play combos for lunch so we could get in some games after the meal. It turned out to be a great decision and we had a blast!
Menu Description: YOUR CHOICE OF BUFFALO CHICKEN OR GREEN CHILE STEAK. With spicy chorizo sausage, jalapeno white queso, shredded cheeses, house-made black beans, pickled jalapenos, fresh pico de gallo, Cotija cheese, cilantro, and Avocado Jalapeno Ranch.
This appetizer was the perfect choice for our group of six. It was so much food that we didn’t even finish it! We decided to get the steak AND chicken and it was a good decision.
The food was great! If you love bar food and arcade games, this is definitely the best place to be. After sharing a cheesy plate of nachos as an appetizer, I chowed down on smashed bar burger sliders and BBQ ribs.
WHAT SHE ATE:
SMASHED BAR BURGERS & SMOKEHOUSE BBQ RIBS - Four smashed sliders and "St. Louis-style" pork ribs slow-cooked and basted in honey bourbon BBQ sauce
The fries were crispy and salty and the bar burgers were mouthwatering! I would definitely suggest this as the perfect place to get together on a Friday night with good company!
I’ve been to two other Dave and Busters locations before and have never been disappointed. The food is always good, the service is always good, and the games are always fun! For an appetizer we had steak and chicken nachos. They were loaded with cheese, jalapenos, beans, etc. They were really good, and didn’t have too much of any one topping on it.
WHAT HE ATE:
THE PHILLY CHEESESTEAK - Shaved steak on a warm hoagie roll topped with cheese and served with French fries. Available with grilled onions, mushrooms, or green peppers
I ordered the philly cheese steak without any veggies or extras and it was still very flavorful and good. The fries were crispy and perfect flavorwise. Dave and Busters is the next thing to add to your list of fun late night activities!
After eating we moseyed over to the the games section. We played stuff like basketball shooting, ski-ball, air hockey, and a few video games. The experience of Dave and Buster’s was, to be completely honest, not really my cup of tea. When I imagine going to a place like that, it would be for hanging out with a bunch of people and joking and smoking all night (metaphorically speaking). I enjoyed Dave and Buster’s games, but the noise from every direction was just a little much for me.
WHAT HE ATE:
FIRE-GRILLED SALMON - Center-cut Atlantic salmon grilled with Louisiana spices and peppercorn garlic butter. Served with garlic green bean medley and jasmine rice.
Today I got the blackened salmon on a bed of rice. I’m still fighting off a nasty head cold, so I can’t really smell or taste very much, but it was still good considering that. Our waitress’s name was Peacock and she was on top of things and very friendly.
Walking in to Dave and Buster’s is overwhelming to say the least! There was a greeter at the door to make the place seem welcoming and friendly. As you enter the building, the immensely tall ceilings and the LOUD arcade games noise greet you. There is a front counter that was well-staffed with friendly faces ready to help or answer any questions. To your right is the huge arcade with every game you could possibly desire, while to your left is the bar and then the dining area, filled with enormous TV screens playing everything from 90s music videos, to airplane racing, to little league baseball games.
WHAT SHE ATE:
TRIPLE BACON BURGER - Applewood smoked bacon, peppered bacon pork belly, bacon & smoked Gouda sauce, Manchego and cheddar cheeses, lettuce, and garlic aioli
We were seated quickly in the half-full dining area. More people came in as we sat and ate. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger from the Eat + Play menu. It was pretty average, with no sauce or many toppings besides the burger patty, bacon, cheese, and a (very wilted) small piece of lettuce. I think the burger would have been a lot better if it had had some sauce or something to make it a little more moist. The fries were okay – they just seemed average and were a little stale. My whole meal seemed as though it had been sitting under a heat lamp for 10-15 minutes. But it was still pretty tasty and I loved the plating and appearance of the food!
